Katelyn Malo is a professionally trained photographer based in Timmins, Ontario. She has worked with several local businesses providing strong, honest, brand building images. Her work has been featured on book covers and in magazines. She has also self-published a book of portraits.
Katelyn is comfortable working in diverse photographic fields and while she prefers to shoot on location, she is happy to also provide studio space or recommend great photo locations for her clients.
When she’s not shooting, you can find her out enjoying nature, eating/cooking yummy food, tending to her many house plants and spending time with her family, friends, partner Shane and their Chesapeake Bay Retriever Ted.
Katie loves documenting real-life moments and lives by the saying “shoot what it feels like not what it looks like”. She especially loves capturing quiet or real, emotion-filled moments – anyone crying at weddings, long hugs, bursts of laughter, tiny hands, aged hands…. the list goes on. It’s most important when clients feel comfortable and in their own skin. It adds that extra element of meaningfulness.
